Ken.
When it happens at shows I just remove the offending loco and disable the YAAT script.
I have 4 canal boats being pulled round with locos and if I power off it all goes pear shaped, so I tend not to power of at shows.
When it happens test running in the garage, I have completely powered off (mains off) and rebooted with no success.
I have put the offending loco on the programming track and tried to reset the decoder but that fails as well.
The only way to get the loco going again is to rest it.
Because it is so random it is hard to pin it on any one thing I was doing at the time.
Normally it happens when running YAAT scripts, so as you say command station confusion.
I have super cap stay alives, would this affect anything?
I will keep a log of loco number and what I was doing at the time, see if anything pops.
