Doron,
Being able to know what I don't know has been an important if somewhat elusive goal for me. Your question is somewhere out there in the fuzzy boundary of my understanding of JMRI scripts and beyond my comfort zone. On some occasions, I have been able to assist members of this list with scripts, but not always. Certainly not in this case.
Most of what follows should be considered as questions rather than advice or instructions.
Not being aware of what psutil does, my first attempt was to do a web search on psutil jython but the results were ambiguous. Lots of hits for psutil python instead. Only "wish list" hits for the jython version.
It is my impression that a Java implementation is needed and I think that it is possible that you have ventured into the region where Python and Jython do not provide interchangeable features. Another possibility might be to copy portions of a Python script to imitate the needed features for your application. But I have no experience doing anything like that. It also seems counterproductive and counter-intuitive to provide special implementations.
Perhaps there are some Java modules that could provide what you need to stand in for the features that your script needs?
Other more experienced members are likely to provide better advice.
