Open Settings, Choose “Update & Security”, choose “Windows Security”, select “Virus & Threat Protection”, choose “Manage Settings”, choose “Add or Remove Exclusions”, press the “+
ad select “Folder” from the drop down.??? Browse to “c:\Program Files (x86)”, highlight the “JMRI” folder and hit “Select Button”

I also use Windows Defender and didn’t run into this issue when installing 4.18 yesterday….
