Think I will try the Raspberry pi. Thanks for the advice. I guess it can be as an access point for NCE powercab or DC++

Unless a Windows tablet running Java JMRI can't run there.
Solution as Heiko mentioned is a tablet running virtual connection to
PC/Mac/Pi then to NCE. I do that with a simple Android tablet to make
adjustments to the Pi running JMRI "headless(faceless)." IE no
keyboard/mouse/monitor. Pi comes with VNC server in the full
distribution software suite.
