Yes, that should work fine.
I do not use Dropbox, but I share my VSD files for several JMRI profiles. My path looks like "C:\Users\Klaus\JMRI\vsdecoder\".
Since the VSD files contain the sound files, one folder should be enough for VSD. It's a good idea to use a top folder like "resources".

If you want to follow this recommendation, please set the new path for each necessary JMRI profile doing
PanelPro >> Debug >> Virtual Sound Decoder >> VSDecoder Preferences >> browse for the desired "Default VSD File Path" >> Save.
If you are using Roster for VSD, then please check the path in each Roster.
