I run EngineDriver on a pair of ESC MobileControl2 throttles Andriod 4 dot something... I'll try my Andriod tablet it doesn't have some ESU WiFi "helper" software loaded... Might as well eliminate that too.
When I lose WiFi I get a disconnected trying to reconnect message, that's one place in the room and me in between the throttle and router. Not is WiThrottle running... I checked with 4.17.4 and it's (Mac, Mojave and Java 8.212) and all is well...
Do you see the WiFi signal bars changing on the phone? This doesn't feel like signal loss.. But I agree that something odd is happening I can't make it happen... well not tonight... tomorrow I'll try getting as far away as I can and force the signal issue...
Also you say that the throttle id stays in the WiThrottle server window... I'll look at that too... I think it should... but let's see...
