Thanks for the advice on reading the full CVs. I tend not to bother. Not got my layout up and running yet and all running on rolling road seems to be OK.
Good way to mess up your decoders... But a decoder reset should fix that.
Also tried another loco which I've not recently changed and it also stops responding over speed step 14.
Looks like you're doing something wrong (unrelated to ESU).?
