Steve,
The TowerMan and WatchMan use the identical bus which is simply
power, (+12 to +15V) Ground, and LocoNet, with the LocoNet in the
middle.

I think I¡¯ll try it with a Towerman. How do I power it. I
have the SSB adapter to power the Watchman. Can I also power the
Towerman with that? ?Or does it get a different voltage? ?

Steve,
You will need two I/O ports, one for output (touch) and
the other for input. (color) The MotorMan only has one aux
I/O, so you would need two MotorMan boards. The TowerMan
has two I/O ports so that is why I suggested it. The 'Man
boards can not support both Input and Output on a single
port at the same time like the LCC boards can do. An LCC
user could use the Berrett Hill Ribbon Cable Input adapter
(RCI8) to connect to a single dual mode port. If you never
use JMRI nor a hand held to control turnout position, then
I think you could ignore controlling the color indication
by letting it default to the toggle indication and only
using the output cable. You had better try that to be sure
it works right for you. In other words check to see if the
color follows the Touch Toggle if no connection is made to
the output connector. The reason I say this is that the
Logic Translator might be converting a Touch Toggle to act
like a Touch Trigger and just sending out brief pulses
which would then let it act the same as other momentary
turnout controls.

towerman? ?

Steve,
I think all you need to do is plug ribbon cables
from the translator to a TowerMan, (or other I/O
port) one cable for controlling the color, and the
other for outputting the commands. The power for
the Touch devices will come from the TowerMan, so
no external 5V power is required, but can
optionally be supplied to reduce the load on the
SSB.

I am attempting to begin automation of the trains

Because I control my turnouts with Berrett Hill
Touch Toggles, I am unable to control turnouts
using JMRI/Panel Pro turnout tables/etc. Can
anyone give advice regarding how I might allow
control of turnouts with JMRI. I have an
RR-Cirkits Motorman and the Berrett Hill Universal

how to get them to work with each other. Any ideas
or anyone I might contact for help would be

I don't know if it's important to know the other
hardware on my layout ... but here is the list.?
Command Station : Digitrax Zephyr
Booster: Digitrax DB150
Power Management/Reversing : Digitrax PM42
Computer Connection : Lenovo Laptop PC to
RR-Cirkits LocoBuffer USB
Power Supply to RR-Cirkits Watchman : RR-Cirkits
SSB adapter
Turnout Control : Berrett Hill Touch Toggles (3
DB8 and 1 DB4)
Block Detection : RR-Cirkits Watchman
Turnout Control : ???? Don't have any idea if I've
got this right ... RR-Cirkits Motorman &
Berrett Hill Universal Translator
