I have now had a reply from Mr. Deloof, which gives an explanation of the difficulties:

[i]The programming track on the LocoCentral can at this moment only be used with the keyboard on the LocoCentral.


You can¡¯t use LocoNet command to program a decoder on the track, as it is not implemented in the LocoCentral.[/i]

I will now have to consider quite what to do about programming locomotives.
