Some of the terms are old terms. In the beginning the instruction 'sheets'
for a decoder had the data split up a bit and the name 'sheet' stuck, at
least that how it seemed to me. I tend to use term like 'tab' or 'pane', the
last one is more a programmer term for the way the graphic works. Early
decoders had only one or two pages, now they make small books, if you ever
got one printed out in total.
The other issue with the decoders are you have to write your data to the
decoder, then you want to save your data to the file, so two quite different
operations.
