I'm new to the group.? I have downloaded the software and watched the 5 videos that the DCC Guy has posted at his website and other JMRI Decoder Pro videos where I can find them.? So, I have attempted programming new and older locomotives using decoder Pro.? When I have done so, I have used "Direct" as the mode.? To further give you information:? I'm using a separate Programming Track that I can use here at my computer.? The computer is hooked to the programming track via a Digitrax PR-4.? The lights on the PR-4 light up, when I plug in the USB cord and I also plug in its' power cord.? I don't have my computer in the basement where the layout is, so the separate programming track is how I have to do this.

I realize that I am not giving adequate information to ascertain a fix, as I don't know enough to give you that, all I can do is describe what happens.? I go through the program per the DCC Guys instructions.? When done, I take the locomotive down to the layout and attempt to run.? Nothing happens, no lights and no forward or reverse movement!?

I understand because of my lack of even knowing what to ask you, your abilities to help me are limited.? Can you make suggestions on what to check?
