Locked Re: Reading a decoder and copying to another decoder

Derek,

Place the first engine on a programming track and create a roster entry for it. That is, select 'New Loco' and identify the decoder that the engine has. Once you do this select the CV sheet and select 'Read Full Sheet'. Depending on the decoder this may take a bit of time. Once finished, save the configuration by selecting File/Save. Select Edit/Duplicate Loco and enter the ID of the second locomotive.?

Now place the second engine on the test track. Go to the Basic sheet and change the address to what you want for the second engine.? Go to the CV sheet and select 'Write full sheet'. Again, this may take some time.?

When complete, save this roster entry and you are done.

Have fun!

Using DecoderPro, how can I read a sound decoder configuration and copy that config to another identical decoder. I have two locos with the same sound decoder installed in both and I want them both to be configured identically.
