Two things might be happening, both need looking at:
a)?????
The ¡°defaults¡± in the preferences might not be set to the Sprog device
b)?????
It would appear that a ¡°profile¡± may be the cause of not seeing the existing roster files, and instead looking in a different place, finding none,
so offering the ¡°blank roster¡± startup help screen.?
To set the stage, I use a Laptop WIN 7 machine with a SPROG II connection for programming which has worked fine in the past.? Since I hadn't fired it up in over a year? I decided to upgrade to the latest version.? After download and install
of v 4.12 when I opened it I was directed immediately to the Roster page without the usual preferences/ intro panel being shown.? When I attempted to open up and program one of my roster locos I could not do it (either by the Program button or double clicking
on my roster selection). I believe the SPROG is configured right (COM4 on my machine) and the drivers seem to be up to date. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 4.12 at least 3 times, with the same result.? I finally decided to try 4.13.2, but when I open the
program now it takes me to a "DecoderPro: All Entries" panel with a "Getting Started" display with instructions on how to enter a new loco, which is NOT what I want to do - I just want to modify a few CVs on some of my existing locos.? I'm afraid I have exhausted
my ideas on what is going on here.? Any ideas?
Thanks,
