George,
From the main PanelPro menu, select "Tools >> Tables >> any table¡±. From the table menu select "Store >> Store Configuration Only To File¡¡±. This will write the table contents without any panels.
Multiple panels are not an issue.
Keep in mind that the Layout Editor is NOT a CAD program. It has no concept of area or scale. You can approximate the concepts by setting the "Primary Grid Size" to the desired pixels per inch and the "Secondary Grid Size" to 12 (inches per foot). Adjusting a turnout image to match the length and angle of a #6 turnout will be a challenge.
Generally a Layout Editor panel represents either a logical or physical view of the layout. The logical view is normally a horizontal line from end to end (typically staging). The physical view normally includes all of the major curves and represents how the layout looks in the room.
I recommend that you update JMRI to 4.12. There are a lot of fixes and changes, especially in the Layout Editor.

I have JMRI 4.10 on a Windows Vista system. I have Loconet, RR Circuits, and all is working with the plan I have drawn, but some things are missing and I need to expand the layout to get them in properly.
I would like to start a new clean layout with the correct space allowed for. But I want to keep the turnouts and anything that has a name that I gave it.
I have drawn a few layouts of the same railroad on Layout editor. Is this ok? Will the new ones interfere with the old ones?
I want to build another one and in order to get everything in, I have to change the grid so that it will fit everything. I also want to keep all of my turnouts and block names. I realize that if I delete the other layouts that I have built, I will lose everything names and all. Right? Can I keep the best layout for reference and build a completely separate one that is more correct than the last one that I built? I don't want to lose the turnout names and all savable related items. It will be the same railroad but with some additions and fixes. It is now too small to fit on the grid, and I need to expand that to a 12' x 12' area. I have to fix that too. Please advise.
Will keeping multiple layouts cause interference in any way?
Can I keep one that is most like what I want to have when finished? Delete others?
How to make grid for 12'x12' layout in U shape?
Want to keep names and named items as they are in the current layout and those that are connected are working for the most part.
Thanks,
George
