Locked Re: JMRI logo question

There¡¯s more information about this kind of thing here:

but that page uses a bit too much jargon in the interest of being brief. Basically, if you¡¯re using the JMRI logo, name, etc, to point at JMRI itself, you¡¯re fine. You can use the name and logo to talk about JMRI because that¡¯s what they represent. (It would be nice to have the jmri.org URL somewhere on the flyer, as that¡¯s a way to make clear what you¡¯re referring to, but it¡¯s certainly not required)

What causes trouble is when somebody uses one of the names (JMRI, DecoderPro, etc) or one of the logos to point to something _other_ than JMRI, effectively claiming the JMRI name or logo as their own. (Yes, it has happened, but not very often) Just don¡¯t do that, and you¡¯re good.

Thanks for asking!

Bob

I'm putting together a flyer for the club that I am in and wanted to
mention how we use JMRI and include the logo. Am I allowed to do that?
Are there any restrictions / guidelines that have to be followed?
