This morning I deleted all my sensors from the Sensors Table and recreated them as NCE sensors with the laptop was connected to the layout and running in NCE mode. (I am still running JMRI 4.11.3).? I then ran the shuttle script having set sensor 1 to "Active" by clicking on the icon in the LE Panel.? The train started up and moved off but then (as hitherto) ignored all subsequent sensors, even thought they were made active as the train passed over them (as evidenced by the red LED light attached to each sensor).? However, the Active status was not reflected in the Sensors Table.? Having then quitted the program and switched off the layout while I read up the notes, I started again, intending to try a different script.? I switched on the layout and opened JMRI.? Having got the panel displayed but before running the shuttle, i triggered one of the sensors by passing my hand over it and JMRI then lost the COM3 port connection.? System Console shows an error message for every sensor and turnout - but that i guess is because the connection is lost.? If I try to change Preferences, COM3 does not appear as an option.
