Obviously you can throw out JMRI, that is your choice. Thing is JMRI is not the cause of your issue.
Kinda like waking up and finding the internet not working so throwing away the modem even though a quick search on my phone finds that Quest ishaving issues in my area and all the internet is down.

Subject: [jmriusers] Re: JMRI and Tsunami2 TSU-1100
I posted this message because we could not get JMRI to work on a MacBookPro-Digitrx PR3-track combo that it worked on just last week and for years previously. Since that time, I have gotten some useful hints, none of which worked, but in the process I have paragraphs of explanations some of which I understand but most I didn't. But I have also been called ignorant, insulting and uninformed and suggested that I even may be using "el-cheapo" hardware. Funny, While I admit to some of those things, I wrote to this group for precisely that reason. We do not know how to fix our problem. I even went to a club associate who could not figure it out either.
If someone would be willing to contact me off line or Skype or something much more direct, I would love it, otherwise, our club relationship with JMRI is over! It is not working for either of us.
(Both Mac-PR3 users).
Thank you to those you tried to help.....it just did not work so far!
