Thanks Jay. I will have to try the manual switch option until I find another solution. Incidentally I was programming an engine and everytime I hit write page icon, the turntable took off.

Russell, I have the same experience though I have not noted the
circumstance #1 and I do not have any equivalent #2. I have two
turntables and have seen the effect in both of them at different times.
I am using a Digitrax system. I have noted that my Walthers TurnTables
respond not only to the particular programmed DCC address but also to
256 multiples of that address. So if one has programmed the table to
say 70, then the table also will respond to address 326, 582, 838, and
so on. I have over 30 controlled turnouts and some 60 signal masts. I
have been careful to avoid the multiple addresses assigned to the
turntables, but still see the problem from time to time. Have not been
able to pin down any reproducible results. I eventually wired an on/off
switch on the fascia to turn power on to the table only when I needed to
actually use it. I am not at all impressed with the 'DCC control' of
the Walthers units. They still use a mechanical / electrical break for
phase reversing which means there still is a dead zone where sound
decoders go silent. I had hoped the DCC units would have used an
electronic auto reverser.
Anxious to hear any resolutions you or anyone else knows about.

I have been using panel pro (version 4.0) to run my nce layout for
almost 2 years. I created a reset "route" that I use on startup to
allow my system to learn the position of the turnouts and block
detectors.
I cannot figure out why my turntable randomly moves under 3 circumstances
1) on opening the panel pro program
2) on running the reset program
3) randomly then trains are running on the layout.
I did not include the nce switches assigned to the turntable in the
reset route and have also tried deselecting the dcc control feature of
the turntable in panel pro.
I also tried changing the dcc address on the turntable control box .
Very weird!
Btw the turntable otherwise works fine when controlled by panel pro,
the table control box, or the nce power pro.
