Hi Everyone,
I want to give a few updates from my end and ask a couple of questions regarding the flood relief benefit.
- Chef John is getting sake donations from World Sake Imports and Skurnik Wines; they will deliver the bottles to OKA.
- Still trying to procure more raffle items. So far we have Hiro Sake, a Japan Society package that includes a dual membership and tickets to select events, and dinner for two at Sakagura. I'm picking up the Sakagura gift certificate on Monday. If anyone has any others, please let me know. I updated my website to include these as well as the sake donations.
- Yuji, Rona Tison from Ito En says that she can arrange for you to pick up the tea donation from their Dumbo warehouse on Wednesday, August 22. Will that work for you? The address information: 50 Gold Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201. Call 718-250-4000 a half an hour before you pick it up. THANK YOU! If this doesn't work for your schedule, let me know, and I'll put you in touch with Rona.
- Yuji, were you able to get any donations from JFC?
- Yuki, I like the idea of printing a couple of posters. Sorry about the last line about on the flyer. I think I suggested the 's. In my head it reads "the Japanese American Association's Flood Relief Fund," so it doesn't look like a typo to me. Were you able to change it to what you want? ??
I'll keep pushing the event on social media. I'm sure we'll get more ticket sales in the next few days. New Yorkers are very last-minute planners.
Thanks for everything! Susan

Hi all,
Susan thanks so much for the updates. Excited for all the momentum we have going.?
I sent a request to our Board (through our President, Brenda McKinney) for raffle item donations and will check in on that early?next week. I know Christy Jones (on our Board) has already done an incredible job with Japan Society items! So awesome! I will try and secure some other raffle items in the meantime and will keep you posted.
RE the poster: I've already asked Kim to make the edit, but I'm fine either way. I sent Yuki our JETAANY logo and will send any for companies that can donate additional items.
Thanks all!

If Kim already made the change, then please let’s go with that. I don’t want her to feel as if we wasted her time. I need to ask for logos. I don’t think we’ll get anything from Korin because Saori-san is on a cruise, and communication with her is impossible right now. I’ll try again. I’ll follow up with the others, too. Thanks for the prizes you’ve received thus far!?
We’ll continue to plug away!
Yuki - yes, I think I’ll see you Sunday.?
Thanks, Susan

Yuji, Rona Tison from Ito En says that she can arrange for you to pick up the tea donation from their Dumbo warehouse on Wednesday, August 22. Will that work for you? The address information: . Call 718-250-4000 a half an hour
before you pick it up. THANK YOU! If this doesn't work for your schedule, let me know, and I'll put you in touch with Rona.
-
Yuji, were you able to get any donations from JFC?
-
Yuki, I like the idea of printing a couple of posters. Sorry about the last line about on the flyer. I think I suggested the 's. In my head it reads "the Japanese American Association's Flood Relief Fund," so it doesn't look like a typo to me. Were you able
to change it to what you want? ??
I'll keep pushing the event on social media. I'm sure we'll get more ticket sales in the next few days. New Yorkers are very last-minute planners.

Hi all - checking in about the raffle. A JETAANY Board member can donate one or two bottles of Hennessy. Are we able to add that to the bunch?
Also, do we have raffle tickets, cash box, containers for the raffle tickets?

Hi Everyone,
I want to give a few updates from my end and ask a couple of questions regarding the flood relief benefit.

Chef John is getting sake donations from World Sake Imports and Skurnik Wines; they will deliver the bottles to OKA.

Still trying to procure more raffle items. So far we have Hiro Sake, a Japan Society package that includes a dual membership and tickets to select events, and dinner for two at Sakagura. I'm picking up the Sakagura gift certificate on Monday. If anyone has
any others, please let me know. I updated my website to include these as well as the sake donations.

We need all those. We have option of individual box per prize or one box for all prizes and everyone has chance for any prize. Maybe $5-10 per ticket? I guess depends on how many people show?

Sure, that’d be nice – does s/he work for Hennessy, or it’s just a personal donation?
?
Can print out the posters/flyers tomorrow, print out guest list, etc. for the front and buy raffle tickets from Staples.
Can someone else pick up the rest?
Volunteers can assist with setup.
?
What time can we start setting up at OKA?? 4pm?

Hi Everyone,
I want to give a few updates from my end and ask a couple of questions regarding the flood relief benefit.
-
Chef John is getting sake donations from World Sake Imports and Skurnik Wines; they will deliver the bottles to OKA.
-
Still trying to procure more raffle items.
-
Yuji, Rona Tison from Ito En says that she can arrange for you to pick up the tea donation from their Dumbo warehouse on Wednesday, August 22.

Group box would be easier and whoever is picked out can choose what they want?

Can bring change for $300 in smallish bills and get it back at the end of the night.

I think it’s just a personal donation. Might have some books in line too. Do we want that? Let me know.?
I can check and see if we have leftover raffle supplies during our meeting tomorrow. Might have a cash box and some boxes for tickets.?
I won’t be able to arrive at OKA until 5:30 but will help with setup then.?

Sure, that’d be nice – does s/he work for Hennessy, or it’s just a personal donation?
?
Can print out the posters/flyers tomorrow, print out guest list, etc. for the front and buy raffle tickets from Staples.
Can someone else pick up the rest?
Volunteers can assist with setup.
?
What time can we start setting up at OKA?? 4pm?
