Re: last night
Hi team, Sorry for such a delayed response on this. Just wanted to say thanks again to all for putting on such a successful event. Without everyone's hard work, it wouldn't have been possible. Couldn't be happier with the way the event turned out. There was a lot of positive energy and lots of momentum built in the community by joining forces for a common goal. I hope people from different organizations were able to connect and inspire future potential collaborations. Great vibes all night, and think everyone had a great time. Can't wait for the next one. Echoing thanks to Chef John. Thank you so so much for the fantastic venue/food/drinks. It was incredible and I heard nothing but compliments from everyone the whole night. Susan, thank you for introducing us to Chef John, for your connections with donations, well for pretty much everything! Maki, thank you for getting everything going online and sharing the event with your friends and JMSA. Yuji, thank you for taking the lead on the email list, getting donations, making a speech, picking up extra beer, and everything in between. Yuki, thank you coordinating all the details including volunteers, poster printing, logo gathering, donations, getting the Consulate's endorsement, and being so on top of it during the raffle. I know I'm missing a ton more that y'all have done, but thank you. I think we have few outstanding follow-up items as well. Below are the last results I've seen. Have they changed at all? I think it would be good to include tickets sold / total amount raised / etc for transparency. Results: (taken from Yuki's preliminary numbers) -nearly $7,000 raised (final count of online donations to JAA is yet to be determined) -Raffle:?$870-77 tickets sold (online $4625 and @ $1200 at the door) -Donations: $253?? -Venue cost: $1,000 (per Susan's last email. Susan, correct me if I'm wrong). Is Chef Jeff okay with $1,000 only? Follow-up Items: -Determine final amount raised (online tickets / raffle / other donations) -Touch base with BPT to see what the net was. How much will go to JAA through PayPal and how much will be paid to JAA with a check from BPT????? -Determine final attendance numbers (~70 ppl) -Determine raffle prize winners (send pictures of winners to sponsors?). See attached for my stab at the final raffle / winners list. Can you please help fill in the blanks? Thank you! -Thank you notes to attendees [include total amount raised and photo album link] -Thank you notes to attendees/ donors (online & sponsors)?[include total amount raised?and photo album link] -Thank you notes to volunteers?[include total amount raised?and photo album link] -Thank you notes to Consulate attendees?[include total amount raised?and photo album link] -PR / social media thanks and updates on the total of attendees & total amount raised (maybe with breakdown as well? [tickets, raffle, online donations] the goal is to be as transparent as possible)?? -Post photos: My friend at the Japan Local Government Center, Kotaro Kashiwai, was very generous with his time and took pictures of the event free of charge. His photos are . Please feel free to use on social media / share / tag / etc. Just please credit him if you do share. JETAANY selected some of his photos and added them to a FB . On another note, Kotaro is looking to expand his portfolio and practice various shots, so if you want to schedule a shoot with him, feel free! He does the work pro bono and will give you the pictures afterwards. I will send a separate draft email for attendees. Otsukaresama deshita everyone! -Andy On Fri, Aug 24, 2018 at 10:30 AM Yuki Kaneshige <yuki.kaneshige@...> wrote:
