Access denied

Hello,

I get the message Access Denied message for Home Depot and Lowes. I cleared the cookies and cache to no avail. It does not matter if I use Firefox, Brave or Chrome same message shows up. Any ideas how this can be fixed. all other sites that I normally look at are not affected. Help.

I am using

MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2012)
2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
16 Gb of Memory
500 Gb SATA Disc

MacOS Mojave (10.14.6)

"Access DeniedYou don't have permission to access "http://www.homedepot.com/" on this server.

Mark,
Try editing the URL and change “http” to “https”.

Has that "" website ever worked for you? When I type that in, I get an immediate "redirect" to " - note "httpS" instead of "http"

Also try changing your IP address using a VPN. If you are already using a VPN either try without it or use a different VPN server.

I tried everything that everybody suggested and nothing worked. I was going to coll Home Depot support and magically today everything went back to normal and I am able to access those websites. I guess the problem was on their end and it was fixed somehow. Thank you to everyone for suggestions.

We had issue with Home Depot website yesterday. Husband called store and yes the site is not functional. A store sales person was very helpful to us and suggested the site to give him a good rating, and what we got was a bogus infected notice which is why my husband called. That is no way to run a huge business like Home Depot. He plans to tell the salesperson in person about the dysfunctional info on the receipt. I hope this gets fixed.

Ellen, DON’T!

One, the “in-person” person has no control of the issue.?

Two, the bogus warning is caused by someone outside of Home Depot.?

Once again, please read the following link to an article on Tidbits.com:
