The first two digits of the serial # are the country code, which mostly signifies what feature diode configurations that were shipped from the factory to determine allowable frequency coverage.? 30 & 10 are UK units.? 05 (or just 5) and 25 are US/NA units.? 25 deleted the USA TV reception feature around 02/2010.

I'm not sure what the V2 you mention refers to.? The Main board PCB artwork revision is the alpha suffix to the Main PCB part #.? Most early units (mid 2006 production had Main PCB B6249G boards.? I saw one very early unit with an "F" suffix.? In 2008 the rev "O" artwork was released and continued through 2010. I have no info on revisions after 2010 to the Main PCB artwork.? I haven't seen anything on the boards that indicate the build level of the board (component changes, jumpers, etc.)? I think that is based upon serial #, but have never seen a list detailing the changes by serial #, except for a couple of mods, like the 60M band change in the USA, and version splits identified by the serial # prefix (like 25xxxxxx for no TV reception in USA).

I know this isn't what your post was asking for, but perhaps clarifies serial # versus production dates.

You seem to think you're on Facebook where the goal is to take offense and be derisive....? This forum supposed to be about "hams helping hams" politely.? I'm not trying to hijack the thread.

I was trying to understand what the V2 in your subject line referred to, which I thought was obvious from my first sentence in the post.? The point of the rest of my post was that referencing only the prefix of the serial # doesn't usually establish a hardware revision, you need the full Serial # or most of it at least.? Since you don't sign posts with your call sign, I don't know where you are.? I assume perhaps the UK and thought maybe there had been a new version released, since the UK and EU had new prefixes, which I don't remember seeing any mention of on this forum stating how they differed.
