FLDigi on the 7000
I am new to the 7000, having only one other rig at home, a 7600. I want to be able to run FLDigi from the PC through the 7000. But, I am finding there is a big difference between the two rigs. For

Re: LDG AT200 Pro Tuner and 7k
I have never hooked my AT-200Pro up to my Icom 7000. I did that tonight and it works great. I rarely use the Icom 7000 as it is my back up rig. But now I know the tuner/radio combo works :) 73, Rick

Re: Memory Scan Problem
Hi Gord, Check out page 113 of the manual "Priority Watch" and you will need to set "scan resume" to OFF. Cheers Tom

Re: [IC-7000] LDG AT200 Pro Tuner and 7k
Dennis, Be sure that the LDG is connected to the radio before powering the radio on. That is how the 7000 detects a tuner. 73, Carl AB1DD Resistance is futile. (don't know about reactance, though)

LDG AT200 Pro Tuner and 7k
Hey guys.... I have a LDG AT-200 pro II tuner and they mention an interface cable for the 7000 so I bought one. However it does not work. Tuner gets good power but pushing the tuner button on the 7000

[IC-7000] Re: Newbie question - Should new rig stink of burning electronics?
The "orange gummy pads" are thermal transfer pads that conduct heat from components to the sheet metal case. It is important that they be positioned correctly to prevent components from overheating.

Re: [IC-7000] Re: Newbie question - Should new rig stink of burning electronics?
Mine stinked , too; but suddenly at once the smell became stronger - I was in /P working at abt 50W out SSB - and it seemed to me to have changed to burning wax . So I switched it promptly off ; back

Re: Memory Scan Problem
I think this is actually one of the things it can't do. My Kenwood TM-D710 is the same.

Re: [IC-7000] Re: Newbie question - Should new rig stink of burning electronics?
When I got my IC-7000 the smell it emitted as it warmed up was actually quite strong. It wasn't a burning smell but it was factory glue/oil/resin of some sort burning/gassing off. It took a good month

[IC-7000] Re: Newbie question - Should new rig stink of burning electronics?
Thanks to all for the comments. It's a tough decision. The rig is new. I just got off the phone with Icom support and without a tech there to smell it, they're not really convinced there is a problem.

Re: [IC-7000] Soundcard setup
Last I checked, HRD won't do Packet. You have to use AWGPE or one of the other programs that supports Packet. Be warned that most of them can be a pain to get set correctly. A second hand $50 TNC is

Hi Grant. It has happened in two vehicles. Neither two different Kenwood TS480's nor a Yaesu FT857 showed any sign of this. It only happens in the car when it does this regularly. It d

RTTY Monitor
I'm sure I had this at one point, but is there any way to hear your transmitted signal in the headphones when sending FSK RTTY? I can turn on the "Monitor" function for SSB, and of course, get CW

Re: No Transmit Audio on VHF/UHF
Well, my friend checked everything and it all was set correctly. He ended up calling Icom and after a discussion with them it was decided that the only thing left to do was to do a RESET of the rig.
