Just thinking, I would even consider a faulty board as long as its not burnt up. Mine burnt at the junction of Q501 and L531. There was a dry joint on L531 and it burnt a hole in the board. I

Thats right, the Icom screen is switched off with this funktion but the bluesceen is still there.

Hi,
If that TV related bootscreen message is categorized as an 'Opening
Message' then it should be able to be deactivated by the following :
Press AF knob momentarily to enter Set mode.
Press 'F2'

If i skip it with yes it starts normaly with the icom symbol an than it works as it should. I can switsch to the tv receive with long press the noob and back to radio. At the next start the bluescreen

The USA units were never activated for analog TV due to some federal requirement not being met. I activated mine by removing a diode, but I never saw that screen.

I use two different IC-7000s and have never seen this. Didn't even know
it had a TV mode.
