I have pushed and pulled, squeezed etc. and this plug will not release so I have decided to leave it in place for now since I am not going to use the 7K without the tuner and can disconnect the bottom

Keith
It is the 4 pinned plug that goes from the tuner into the "TUNER CONTROL SOCKET" on the rear panel of the 7K.

Pro ll power cord.
You need a small blade screw driver and press the portion of the plug that protrudes the input receptacle of the radio, you will see it move while you wiggle the
power cable and it will slide

Re: [IC-7000] LDG Pro ll power cord.....
Bob,
As I was re-reading your message, I decided that I need some?clarification. Which plug are you referring to...the power plug on the 7000 OR the plug on the tuner?

Re: [IC-7000] LDG Pro ll power cord.....
Bob,
The locking mechanism is on top of the plug. It is a ramped mechanism. Just pull it off. You will need to use some pressure when pulling it, but it will not break. I discovered this yesterday,

Re: [IC-7000] RE: IC-7000 and SOTA
Izzy, both the Cellpro Multi-4 and 10XP chargers will work fine. The 10 has the ability to charge two batteries at the same time. Both will need a 12 volt power source of at least 5 amps output. I use

I still stand by my earlier assessment, based upon personal experience and accurate test data on the air and on the bench. Given previous claims that the 7K RX is weak on VHF/UHF, these weren't

Re: [IC-7000] RE: IC-7000 and it's VHF/UHF
The only direct comparison I've done is between an IC-7000 and a Ft-736R.
On 2m FM on weak signals, the Yaesu is marginally more sensitive, but the
difference is minute.

Re: [IC-7000] IC-7000 and it's VHF/UHF
I like the calibration of the IC-7000 S meter, it gives useful readings
over a wide range of signal strengths.
