Re: [IC-7000] IC-7000 / RT Systems software
I saw that and they only go up to 99 entries. Since I have about 200 HF entries to make I'm using Band A and Band B for HF. They also have the band edges entered in a bank of entries. I doubt that I

You can do that -- it would make it easier to find stuff. However, I usually put the most frequently used stuff on the first bank.

Re: [IC-7000] Software
I literally just got two HF radios that I need to program, both are Icom. One is a marine radio and the other is the 7000. I got the RT Systems software and I think it's fantastic. It's easy to use.

Re: [IC-7000] RE: IC-7000 on 60 meters????
That works too. But the 60M mod for NA models avoids the loss of band edge beeps, which some find useful for bands they don't work as often. It only requires a single diode to be removed.

Re: [IC-7000] Software
The RT Systems software will let you set all the features, etc... as well as program the frequencies. Their cables are reliable and supported on even the latest versions of Windows.

Re: [IC-7000] RE: IC-7000 on 60 meters????
Why not make an "out of band mod"? Then you can transmit and receive from 100kHz to 60MHz(?) and the 60m is fully covered. I have done this on an old IC-7000 and this worked for me!
Just google

Re: [IC-7000] Software
Unfortunately, while CHIRP is my preferred radio programming normally, it has a significant limitation for the IC-7000 in that it will only read and write Bank A memories (shouldn't be too hard for a

Re: [IC-7000] Software
There's a heap of software that works with the IC-7000, you would get a lot of results out of a Google search. Most popular rig control software (Ham Radio Deluxe, etc) supports the IC-700, same for

Re: [IC-7000] RE: IC-7000 on 60 meters????
Do you have an antenna tuner? They are not terribly expensive, especially
on ebay, and are worth every penny. My antenna for 60 is a 125 foot center
fed flattop fed with balanced line from a MFJ-993B,

Re: [IC-7000] RE: IC-7000 on 60 meters????
When was yours made? Mine, purchased in August 2013, is OK for this bunch
of channels, but it takes some work to get them. In my Yaesu 950, they are
pre-programmed in as memory channels.
