You would need a dual receiver (main plus vhf) as well as a dual VFO.
Check out the Kenwoork TS-2000.

I had a nice chat with one of the ICOM guys about the one thing that
depresses me most about all of the all-band mobile rigs...you can't
monitor/scan UHF/UHF while operating HF. He said that would (of course)
constitute dual-VFO, which he said they talked about but did not
impliment.
The reason I bring this up is that my last vehicle I had both an FT-100
and an FT-8100 with antennas for all bands on both. Managing a few
repeaters I really need to monitor VHF/UHF whill operating. It's also very
helpful for traveling. So, my options are to either have another VHF/UHF
radio or a scanner in the vehicle. Would be nice just to have one.
So now that we have some specifics, and now that we know they haven't
released the radio yet, perhaps we can assemble a list of last requests
for the final product.
1) Dual VFO with ability to scan VHF/UHF while operating HF (even if
that means a somewhat crippled receiver for monitoring).
