¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi, ? Open up the control unit and replace the two 100uF caps tants (Black in the middle of the board), they go short circuit, watch out for polarity, ?if there is no click, then the 4R7 resistor is open circuit rear the 8V volt regulator, remove the ribbon cable very very carefully, as if you pull the one off the PA board you will have to strip down the whole radio to fit it back in!! ? Occasionally the -12V BUCK converter needs looking at but that is a 1 in 10. ? I would do it for you But you are in the USA and postage make it impossible. ? KR ? ? Andrew ? I can diagnose and fix through hole receivers, stereos, AA5 radios etc but these microprocessor?control radios is beyond my capabilities. ? I can however chase voltages and maybe find where the voltage is lost. I told my friend, "no promises but let me have a look at it. I won't do anything to make it a brick" ? I just?got the radio and the only thing I've done so far is verify no power up. I did pull off the face and clean the contacts between the face and main radio body. No luck. Still will not power up. I do have 13.7 volts at the power cord but I haven't pulled any covers to check anything inside yet. ? I know my limitations so with that in mind, does anyone have any ideas that I can check first? ? I would appreciate any input. ? Thank you very much. ? Bob W4JFA |
