Upside-down display on external monitor

Being encouraged by recent posts about using external monitor with IC-7000, I hooked up an abandoned monitor and found that the display was quite clear and accurate; but is upside-down. I cannot discern any identification on the monitor, so I can't easily find instructions for it. I wonder whether the setting for this orientation is intrinsic to the IC-7000 or whether it is set on buttons (also hard to discern markings) on the monitor. OR, should I just try to find a way to hang it upside-down.
