Re: L604, L612, L904 setpoints

? did you find one of my posts somewhere? Your timing is perfect. ?I asked that exact same question when I started the alignment project and by project, as in THIS IS A PAIN. ?I talked to a tech, not gonna say where or who, for sole reason of I did not get his permission to credit him and don¡¯t want him to get in trouble for releasing information if they have rules against it. ?But I was told, do not touch them unless you replaced the board. ?He has done thousands of alignments on the 7000 and never had to touch those unless there was a problem not resolved by the digital settings. ?If you replace the board, just preset those inductors off the old board, but precise adjustment is not critical if Icom left it out of the manual. ?

I replaced the board, so I had to reset those based off the original. ?

My question for you, how are you getting a good clean 3mV signal from your signal generator to the mic port on the back to test and adjust? ?(This is where I¡¯m hanging up due to interference getting into the mic test cable)

The transmitter adjustment instructions on page 4-5 of the IC-7000 service manual say to preset L604, L612, L904 so that the cores are even with the tops of the parts.? But I can't find any place later in the adjustment instructions that says how to adjust them to the optimum positions later on.? Any suggestions?
