While you _can_ reduce the CW filter width to 50 Hz, you'll find that it's probably too narrow to be of practical use.

Because of the on/off transitions, a CW signal _carrying information_ (that is, with dits?and dahs) has a non-zero bandwidth.? Since the leading and trailing edges of each transition are quite important to human ears, that bandwidth is around 100 Hz.??

You'll find out, for yourself, what's the minimum bandwidth you can actually use.
