Perhaps you meant the Yeasu FT-891, which is similar in size to the IC-7000. I owned an FT-891 for a while, and there are many features about that rig that make it very desirable. Unfortunately, at least in my opinion, its user interface is not one of them. When I had the opportunity to buy an IC-7000 from an estate sale, I jumped on it and have never looked back. None of the menu-driven rigs are especially user-friendly, but at least the IC-7000? user interface is not that different from my former IC-706MkIIG and my still current IC-703, so at least there's less head-scratching when I want to dig deeper than the first level of menus.
