Not only does CI-V have to be
shorted, you have to hold down the Pre Amp and Tuner buttons simultaneously
with turning it on. The 7000 is a difficult radio to work on in the adjustment
mode so good luck.

I guess that if there is something amiss in the initial programming of the
radio then resetting it will not rectify the problem.

Hi Dave, Hoffy here, just double checking that the 1/8th plug that you are
using has been "shorted" as per the instruction of the manual.
