Unlike most screwdriver or tarheal antenna, the ATAS100 or 120 as two major difference.

1- controlled voltage is 8vdc for down and 12vdc for up, and is sent to motor via the coax.
2- atas type antenna has no reference feedback.

And it is not supported by turbotuner-2

thus we need to feed dc over the coax ... Done
and monitor swr either via ci-v (prefered but not supported on older unit before ic706mkIIG) or swr bridge.
in will also monitor time movement and before vs requested frequency to define direction.

so lot of work ahead, but it is coming along...

byw i am hoping this will be a lot cheaper too...
