I do not know if the earlier models of the 7K work on 60 meters, but the manual with mine gives a rather complicated way of getting there, and the radio will only tune to those channels, so there is inherent safety. I haven't taken the time to do it, since I have another radio that goes there.
So, the recent crop of 7K's will indeed tune to 60, but I do not know if the earlier models will allow a firmware upgrade as do some other radios. Good luck es 73 de KC4BO

The date on the last page of the downloaded manual is 2010.
