Re: [IC-7000] Re: IC-7000 Power Output Dropping Off

Have you check your Power supply,? and also the wire / fuse going to the Radio??
Wire size and lenght does plays an important part in transferring current from the source to the Radio.
Do also check Antenna fittings to see if everything is tight

I've been noticing mine doing the same thing when looking at the power meter doing PSK31. I'm starting to think it's a heat issue allthough the temp gauge never goes into the red, the case does get awfully hot to the touch. I'm gonna mount a computer fan on top of the case and see if that solves the problem.

Hi all. The RF output is dropping. When the radio is turned on full output. If it is on for a length of time it starts too drop off. example 20 meter setting 100W at power up or shortly after output is 100W. After 1/2 - 45 mins power falls off to just over 50W based on radios meter. turn the radio off and then on back to fully power. Leave it on again and the same condition results.

I have tried a Rest and checked all setting. SWR is under 1.5 really closer to Flat.
