When he said "Is the rumor true", his buddy
thought he was asking about the IC-7000 and said all the rumors
about it coming
out were false. Like I said, for what it's worth.

Look at it this way...HRO is trying to sell thier current stock of
706Gs. They're not going to admit to something that might cost them a
sale.
I've gotten the same response from the guys at my local store, only
to stop by a week later and see the asked about product sitting on
thier counter
