PS. As a corollary to Hammond tuning being locked to mains frequency, it is not possible to tune a Hammond to anything other than A = 440 without messing about with variable frequency power supplies.

Yes, Don is correct. It is a transformer for a set of chimes. I can't tell the brand really, but it may well be from Mass Cathedral Chimes. The 6 pole socket is for the cable that goes to the control
