Hey Zoners! I want to thank Darren, our fine mate from the UK, for finding these valuable documents! As you all know, this is the issue that determines the viability of re-producing a TWG assembly. No

Re: [hammond_zone] Re: Looke here: Bob
Frankly I think that kind of money for even aB-3 is NUTS! I do love the organ, but, you could buy a house for that much, cash on the barrel. The Old Guy

Re: [hammond_zone] Re: Tonewheel generators
Hi Chris, I have an A-100 and I don't think I hear any key click at all. Of course, being 68, my hearing is not what it used to be, but the organ has been in the family since it was new and I don't

Ron, Would you admit to being cheap? With all the comments, I am finding two schools of thought on this and cannot disagree with either one. All of you make you arguments on good reasoning. Laddie

Re: [hammond_zone] 760 Distorting......help please!
Kevin, If you've already tried swapping with known good crossover and amplifier, there's not much else to try. Can you get the treble driver from the good 760? Or possibly easier, try your back panel

Can you localize the distortion? try disconnecting the horn driver to see if the bass driver is clean. Darren

What t402 I thinks of it :) +email
t402...doesn't pull any punches..heh. Its kind of irrelivent though, the original patents still stand. Maybe it would be better to buy up the generators that are still around, strip and rebuild those

Re: [hammond_zone] Screw
Hey Daz I did my adjustment yesterday and i can't believe the increase in both volume and distortion. And you are correct with regard to the registrations. I normally use 888800000 and this is heaven.

Re: valves
Small signal valves (eg preamps, local oscs, IF's and such) they just keep on going on and on and on... I even came across the situation whereby replacing the original with a NOS made things a tad

What I think of it WAS Re: Tonewheel generators
TWIMC and FWIW here's my upfront views on this matter. I'll then shut up. I can't help associating this with Jurassic Park. Some things are simply better left alone. The tonewheel was discontinued

Re: [hammond_zone] Re: Tonewheel generators
Would not such a device use some sort of solid state keying between the TG and the AO-28? I guess if you wanted it to really sound like a B3 you could use 61 9 pole relays for keying. I can't see that
