Which Clone?
Hi all, I'm new to the group and to the Hammond. I'm thinking of purchasing a new clone and am looking for recommendations: Roland Vk-7, Hammond XK-2, Korg CX-3, Clavia Nord Electro Pros? Cons? Faves?

Re: [hammond_zone] Re: Which Clone?
I'm with Casey on all points. I tote an XB-2 going through a KBR-3D and it's pretty damn close. OHF BOB

Re: [hammond_zone] Which Clone?
I have been having a bonding experience at a local music store with a Korg CX-3. I would have it home by now except for some strange reason, the store owner keeps insisting I should fork over $1900+

Re: [hammond_zone] Old Farts Motto
Zakemo Absolutely! And at what volume! Bare with me for this story. I was in a nine piece band, git, bass, drums, two trumpets, sax, trombone, a Janis Joplin clone on git and keys and our front man 6

Re: [hammond_zone] Old Farts Unite!!!

Re: [hammond_zone] Old Farts with style?
We used to have a drummer nick-named Phil Allgaps who couldn't understand that silence was mightier than a drumchop, his technique was really awesome but he really got up the lead guitarist's nose. It

Old Farts with style?
Style....now there's an elusive goal! For sure the use of the expression pedal is a great start and a big part of the unique Hammond sound. But in general, I'd just try to leave some holes. ( of

Re: [hammond_zone] Old Farts Unite!!!
Hey Dan & Connie, See ya' in Denver in the spring. I'll bring my B-3 / 122 rig and see if I can dig up at least one other that we can drag in there. I also have a full 2500 watt P.A. that we use if

Re: [hammond_zone] Old Farts Unite!!!
Hey Dave, Yeah man, good for you! Didn't mean to sound like it's some exclusive or anything. It would be great to see the B-3 spanning the generations, in the way that only music seems to be able to

Re: [hammond_zone] Song suggestions?
Richard Groove Holmes, in my opinion, is your only choice. You already have Jimmie and Joey. Try one of the following CD titles: (1) After Hours (2) Groovin' with Groove (3) Groove's Grove
