If the problem was intermittent the first thing to
check is dry solder joint and/or poor connection. Its hard to say whether its
from the organ or the Leslie. If its the organ its most likely a PCB edge
connector. Hammonds from the late 70s early 80s suffered from this. Usually
unplugging the PCB and then re-fitting can cure it.
?
If its on the Leslie then you need to look
carefully at the boards attached to the rear plate. I have drawings at the
workshop, I could scan and email the relevant page if it will help.

?? I wonder if anyone can help with a
problem I am having with my Hammond. I have a B200 with a Leslie 822. The
problem is that no sound is coming from the Leslie when I play the Hammond.
If?i turn the volume on to full belt I can just about hear the sound very
faintly. The leslie will still rotate fast and slow but with no sound. This
started as an intermittant fault but is now doing it all the time. I would be
grateful if anyone could give me some advice on this problem and how i might
solve it.

FYI Hammond produce quite a selection of software
for the XT/XH series, there are currently 7 preset registration disks with 2x banks of 10 registrations on each. And 6
Autoband Style Disks with some fine additions to the rhythm/ accompaniment
section of the organ.
?
There are new styles available for the XE system too, and an independent
software manufacturer has been given rights to produce?new?Style Disks
as well. Its early days but I believe they have three new disks available.
?
If you want a comprehensive list of available software I can either post or
email you a copy directly. I cover the UK,?Eire and the Channel
Islands.
?
(I wont do it on the list, it was never?my intent to?use it to
sell products)
?
But whilst i am at it, I also have available all post 1987?Hammond
owners and service manuals (plus almost 100% spares, including XB2 software
upgrades)?as well as some pre 1987 manuals; all Hammond concert models and
most portables: X5, B200, B250, B400 etc

As I have been working as a repair-guy for more than 20 years
now, and do have the papers in front of me, I might be able to tell you what to
do, if you just inform me of the nature of the problem you got. The X-5 is not
that complicated

I MADE THE CABLE!

I was very lucky to find the parts in a
local repairing shop! A 30 ft 11 pin cable and a 9 pin connector! It cost only
25 EURO!!!
And I made the "new" cable by
myself!
?
I tried it and it works! Now I must try
and couple of registrations
?
