Re: Vibrato scanner
THe vibrato is usually (not always) choppy. I was thinking most likely the scanner needs to be cleaned. I would like to take one of the ones I have a do it before I go to this customer and just swap

Re: Vibrato scanner
The A-143 scanner will definitely be the same, the only differences between any organ in the A-1** range and any other organ in the range are purely cosmetic changes to the cabinet, C-3 and B-3

Re: Converting digital keyboard to internal power supply
Ground loops could be a problem if you connect the chassis to mains ground, and then plug into an amplifier that also has a mains ground. If the internal power supply is designed to be used as a

Converting digital keyboard to internal power supply
Have a hammond skx and I am constantly worrying that I will either lose the external 12vdc power supply, or else bump and damage the somewhat flimsy socket and be up a creek without a paddle. I am

Transistor. Mid 70's, all solid state using lots of custom LSIC"s that were only made for Hammond. Very hard to find today. wrote:

Re: Kits? A100 to 145
If I recall, the 26-1 is a universal kit to connect to any organ with built in speakers, exactly what you need.

Re: Kits? A100 to 145
Sorry, my mistake, I'd thought that the 8444 was a G-G type kit. As you say a connection to the speaker wires with the load resistor set to either 8 or 16 will not hum. I prefer 16 with an A-100, as I

Tonewheel General suggests a 26-1 kit. I have been looking? at that connection and found some instructions from Captain Foldback. I think I am going to recommend that. That seems pretty straight

Re: Kits? A100 to 145
Chris, I see no problem with using an 8444 kit. Why should there be a ?loud hum¡°? The installation instructions for the A-100 say that the load resistor in the Leslie speaker has to be set to 8

Re: Kits? A100 to 145
The main problem with that type of connection is that you can't use a simple M-E-E switch system. The console load resistor setting in the speaker has to be set to "open" resulting in a loud hum from

Re: Kits? A100 to 145
The official kits for an A-100 connected to the speaker output of the organ's main amp. One thing to watch for when using these kits is to make sure that the reverb drive feed, normally taken from the

Re: Kits? A100 to 145
Rich, connecting an A-100 to a 147 (145) is usually done via the speaker wires. Search for 8444 Leslie kit and you¡¯ll probably find http://www.fishorgans.com/leslie_kits/8444_kit_for_Hammond.pdf
