Re: A100 to Leslie 251 console kit 8253 wiring schematic #leslie

The installation instructions here, have a diagram of the internal wiring of the 011874 connector box. The main things you will need are two 8 ohm 10 watt resistors (No problem with higher wattage resistors, they just take more space in the box. In fact, as in the past I've had a number of service calls on A-100/147 installations where the equivalent load resistor inside the Leslie chassis has burnt out, a higher rating may be preferable) anyway back to the task in hand, these resistors are the console load resistors, they provide a dummy load to the organ amplifiers, preventing possible damage when in "Echo" setting. They are connected, one each to pins 5 & 6 of the six pin outlet of the kit with the other ends to ground, pin 1 of the 6 pin outlet. Another point to watch out for, do you have a two channel Main-Ensemble-Echo switch? You need a switch with two sets of contacts, one to switch the main channel, and one to switch the reverb channel.

Hi
I am trying to connect my Hammond A100 to my Leslie 251 (with the reverb going to the second stationary Chanel)
Parts I have -
Leslie half moon Main-Ensemble-Echo switch and Chorale-Tremolo switch, Six pin Leslie cable, Six pin sockets. A100 Service manual, Leslie 251 Owners Manual.
An old console connector metal box which I hope to use to make my own kit.
I do not have the correct kit which I understand is kit 8253 but I do have the 'Console Connector Kit 8253 Installation Instructions' which includes wiring diagrams.
My problem is that because I don't have the kit, I don't know what components if any are inside it and how the internal wiring goes inside the kit box.
As the kit is unavailable I am hoping with the expert help on here to be able to make up my own box.
Many thanks
Robin
