Also, you would want a minimum 400V, preferably 600V, rating on that 1 or 1.5 microfarad capacitor.? (Admittedly I do not know what voltage is actually impressed on the capacitor during operation, but better to have the high voltage rating for anything connected to the mains.)

I also know from experience that either 1uF or 1.5uF capacitors work fine in UK organs. My usual supplier doesn't list a 1.25uF part, but I've never had a problem with either alternative.
