Hi Chris,

Strange you should mention that the headphone jack is standard.... mine
didn't have it until I fitted it?? Must be the one that got away!

Hi,
The jack on the front is headphones, it's a standard fitting. As you
suspect the one on the back is a later addition and could be a line out or a
line in. Depends what the original owner wanted. Line in sockets were
often fitted for use with rhythm unit accessories or synthesiser/electric
piano type keyboards.

Much obliged, and cheers to all for the warm welcome!

One more question while I think of it - in the top right corner of
the T202 front speaker cloth is a 1/4-inch jack socket, there's also
one on the hardboard back panel (this one looks like it might have
been added later). Neither is mentioned in the manual as far as I can
see, but the pics in the PDF manual are pretty lousy. I'm kind of
assuming the front one may be a headphone jack, the rear maybe a
line-out. Am I close to the truth or risking life, soul and
tonewheels?!

Cheers,

Welcome Bruce, (chuckles to self)

Sorry... sounds like a Monty Python sketch! LOL!

Seriously, I have a T202 as well... and I'm in the UK.... something in
common already! The 02 part refers to the cabinet style of the
instrument,
the T200 was the basic model the top of the range being the T500 series.
I
have an M102 as well, and as you have probably guessed... it has the same
cabinet, although somewhat nicer grain to the wood and better finish (due
to
being older). The rest of my Hammond family consists of an L122 and an
X5.
Also a collection of Leslies... 120, 125, 145, 760.

Can you tell I love Hammonds??

Enjoy your time with us! Your more than welcome. Tell your friends.
