Try cleaning all the molex connectors as well.

If the noise gets louder with the expression pedal it's definitely not the
power transistors. Do any other controls affect the noise? Volume soft,
Brilliance, Vibrato, Rhythm Volume? A common cause of noise on the T-500
is
the edge connector on the auto-acc. board. The one on top of the
generator
shelf at your right as you look in the back, see if moving the connector
slightly makes any difference.
