Subject: [hammond_zone] T500 Noisy amp

Hi

New to Zone.
I have a T500 with noisy amps. A constant white noise gets louder with
expression.
It has not been played for some years. Do i need to replace the power
transistors?

Any help would be appreciated.

It won't be the power transistors...they are after the expression control
in the signal chain. You will need a schematic. Use some small amp as a
signal
tracer (or and oscilloscope) and locate the amplifier stage causing the
noise.
You will find a noisy transistor (likely) or a noisy resistor (less likely.)
But
they will be in the preamplifiers before the expression pedal. If you don't
know how to trace through an amplifier circuit, it's a job for a service
technician.
