Hi Ken,
BTW, how did you come by a few extra springs?
I found a guy who was gutting his DR-20 & bought the amp/speakers from him,
so he included the cups and springs. I ended up abandoning the project when
I got a few more console organs & the parts are just collecting dust. I've
got two DR-20 amps that I'll eventually sell cheap. (actually D-20 since
they used an outboard reverb preamp)
I play a 1952 C-2 from a black church in Sacramento, CA. It came with a 147
Leslie & I just added a second 147 with the accessory plug pulled out to
make it a 47. I love the sound of one on Chorale while the other slows to a
stop. I've also got a '58 C-3/31H, '52 B-2/21H, and a '47 BV. Never have
gotten a BCV yet & am hoping for one with both generators for the added
chorus. Just passed up a Model A (serial #22 !!), it has been refinished
in an olive green shade. Sorry to type so much, I do love my Hammonds!
