I'm in the middle of adding reverb right now on my CV. I have a MKIV unit
from an M-3 that I'm putting right into the console. The amp is on a very
small, square chassis. It has it's own power supply using a 6X4 rectifier
and a 6GW8 triode/pentode two stage amp. I've modified the power supply to
provide the B+ for my pre-amp in lieu of a tone cabinet. Now, I'm going to
insert the reverb line into the signal stream just like the vibrato is.
I'll
use a swith to bypass the reverb completely when it's not wanted. The
output
of the first section of the preamp found at the vibrato line will feed
both
the vibrato line and reverb amp input. The output from the vibrato line
and
reverb amp will feed the input of the second section of the preamp. What
I'm
working on now is the impedances and signal levels for the reverb amp.
I'll
keep you all posted. As far as overdrive is concerned, I have a theory
I'm
going to try out once I have the reverb worked out. The input of the
second
preamp section is a 6J7 pentode connected in super triode configuration.
I'm
going to experiment with the voltage levels on the different grid elements
to see if I can drive the stage into class B clipping while maintaining
the
same volume level. One thing George Hiatt was talking about is adding a
little bit of "dirt" at lower gain levels. I think it can be done. I'll
keep
you posted on this one, too.

Anyone know how to add reverb to a Hammond BV connected to a Leslie 122?
The preamp isn't like a B3. Also, how can I make it overdrive a little
more?
It has some growl but a little more would be nice.Thanks...
