I'm primarily a pianist and just bought a Hammond Super B and a leslie 410.
I'm very aware of the love that many hammond players feel for the
B3/leslie122 combination. But some people (like myself) only want to
practice on a similar setup or situation to the B3/122. So you really can't
rule all this other gear out because it's not as heavy, it's more versatile,
and not nearly as expensive. If your a collector or just have to have the
original sound........great more power to you!!!!!! But if you just want to
play without spending an arm and a leg these other options are very
attractive.

I`m sorry that my fanatical attitude towards Hammond
organs has helped inflate the prices. I`m struggling
right now just to own an XK2. I have to sell my bass
boat in order to own this thing. None of these things
have happened yet.
My love of Hammonds is based on my belief in God. I
haven`t seen or heard anything that brings harmony to
the spirit of Christ like the sound of an Hammond
organ. I`ve attended churches that had real pipe
organs, complete bands, etc. Nothing produced
that "Love of God" feeling like that 'B3" screaming off
like they do.
My love of God will not decrease if all Hammonds
disappeared tomorrow. But I cannot deny its effect on
God`s people. In the right hands, its effect can
overshadow the preacher. I know this is not what God
intended, only 1 chapter in the Bible is devoted to
song. But God I thank you for letting the "B3" exist.--
Jesus is my KIng.
